All of our sites incorporate the following features of "on site" search engine optimisation:
- Comprehensive meta tags - Title, description, keywords and author meta tags are included. These meta tags are ediable by the site administrator allowing targetted keywords to be changed easily.
- URLs re-written into search engine friendly format.
- Pages comply with accessibility guidelines and are accessible to users of non-standard browsers such as screen readers. As search engines are essentially blind users of the web, this makes these sites very accessible to search engines allowing their content to be indexed well.
- Pages are constructed using valid XHTML transitional and CSS 2.0.
Some additional notes on Search Engine Optimisation features for this site are as follows:
- Although most URLs are re-written some parts of URLs are in a traditional format due to the construction of the site.
- Keywords, description tags and page titles are automatically generated using data such as category titles and articles titles, this has been done to save the administrator time when editing meta tags.
